As a Fractional CFO at Bison CFO, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our clients through complex financial landscapes, helping them to optimize their financial performance, enhance their strategic planning, and achieve sustainable growth. You will work directly with our clients' leadership teams, providing financial leadership and strategic insights that support their business objectives. What You’ll Do
- Serve as a strategic financial advisor to our clients, offering insights and recommendations that drive financial health and business growth.
- Develop and oversee financial strategies, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Identify and implement client-specific financial best practices, processes, and technologies to improve efficiency and provide actionable insights.
- Provide guidance on capital structure, fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, and exit strategies.
- Facilitate financial understanding and accountability across client organizations by translating complex financial concepts into actionable information.
Must-haves in a Candidate
- Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or in a similar executive financial role.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Proficient in the use of financial management software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; MSc/MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.

Nice to Have In a Candidate
- Experience in a fractional CFO role or similar consultancy-based financial leadership positions.
- Familiarity with the specific financial challenges and opportunities in the industries we serve.
Other Details
This is a fully remote contract position with flexible hours, based on client needs. Candidates will need to operate within US business hours and be able to take video calls during this time.
Compensation will be determined by client load, with you getting to choose how few or many engagements you want to be involved in.
You'll work with our internal team to complete tasks, so the majority of your time can be working directly with your clients.
